WWW Open Source Training Pack” course was designed
and implemented for database Windows applications development
using MySQL 5.0 server and
Microsoft VB.NET 2005 programming
language. To manage MySQL database objects Toad
for MySQL 4.0 freeware will be used. Toad
for MySQL 4.0 freeware provides the required GUI for
developing and
managing MySQL database objects including a debugging tool
for stored procedures and functions. All required software
for this course is FREE for downloading (MySQL
5.0, Toad
for MySQL 4.0 and VB.NET
2008 Express Edition). The following teaching materials
have been implemented for this course:
Module 1. "Database
Design and Implementation" (Toad for MySQL 4.0
/ MySQL 5.0)
Dr. Ernest Bonat, Ph.D. will start teaching a new course for Windows Applications Developers “Database Windows Applications Development Using MySQL and VB.NET”. This course starts on Feb/23/2009 and it’ll be hosting by Portland Community College (PCC), Southeast Center in Portland.
